Preparation for assembling stern blocks, Atlantic Star is being fitted with its iconic RORO (roll-on/roll-off) Stern Door & Ramp. There is less handing as RORO cargo is not lifted on & off the vessel, but driven on, parked and driven off!
The 2nd in a fleet of 5 G4 Vessels, Atlantic Sail is shown forward view, as hull blocks are being assembled at the shipyards dry dock # 2.
Progressing nicely, Atlantic Star is floated as construction continues at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, China. The G4 fleet of 5 will expand the Company’s capacity to handle containers, vehicles, oversized cargo, breakbulk & project cargo.
What is known to the yard as H1696A is ACL’s soon to be Atlantic Sail. Progressing nicely! Seen here is forward position of the second vessel in a series of 5 builds.
