Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Virginia Beach, VA
Receive customers’ requests by phone or email, analyze requests and process them as required. Requests include new booking placements, amendments to existing orders, general inquiries about available services and the export process, as well as any other inquiry that may come into the service center. Effectively uphold organizational standards and promote customer satisfaction through professional verbal and written communication. Successfully represent the customer service team to all internal business units; the ACL organization to the customer base. Maintain knowledge of service options, including an awareness of and compliance with all policies, processes, procedures and guidelines. Discuss various shipping options with customers. Process all customer booking requests and amendments in accordance with current ACL policies and procedures. Share responsibility for answering all incoming customer phone calls. Back up team members as necessary. Collect all relevant customer shipping requirements in order for the rate team to accurately provide rate quotes to customers. Liaise with other internal business units to promote seamless execution of the line operation. Identify and recommend process improvements. Effectively process customer grievances and escalate appropriately as needed. Relay pertinent shipment information to customers as needed. Promote ACL services and forward new business opportunities to sales.

EDI Business Analyst – Westfield, NJ
EDI Development for ACL/Grimaldi/Finnlines including interactions with Trading Partner, user groups, management and developers. EDI Support contact and resolution follow-up for all internal users and external trading partners in respect to EDI problems in our internal ERP system “Atlas” and Finnlines Atlas. Process analysis and resolve user/trading partner-reported problems using available tools, following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases. Act as a liaison between trading partners and internal support staff, to assure accurate problem interpretation. Maintain communications with customers/user group during the problem resolution process. Set up EDI infrastructure (Translator/Application Integration). Process Analyst functions; provide technical specifications to developer while developing EDI message sets. Create business specifications document after analyzing new EDI requirements and coordinating between Trading Partners and ACL/ Grimaldi/ Finnlines business units. Testing and deployment of EDI production releases. Production Support and Maintenance.
Skilled in Process/Business Analysis. Able to quickly learn our ERP system Atlas and other Shipping Industry sector systems we use. Knowledge of EDI Translator packages Sterling B2B. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use SQL for querying Oracle database. Working knowledge of communication protocols (ie SFTP) and familiarity with API and Web-Service concepts. Some experience on EDIFACT and ANSI X12 message set.
