Effective July 1, 2022 self-funded medical plans are required to make Machine-Readable-Files (MRF) publicly accessible. Since ACL’s medical plan is self-insured, we are required to post United Healthcare’s Transparency-in-Coverage page.

UnitedHealthcare/UMR will update the MRFs each month as required, on behalf of ACL, to view the MRF, please click https://transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com/

To locate and view MRF information:

  • Hit Ctrl-F on your keyboard to bring up a search bar.
  • Type in employer name and the associated MRFs will appear.
  • Example: 2022-07-01_customer name_Choice-Plus_in-network-rates.json.
  • Multiple files may appear. Select the ones with company name and the information and area of interests (network rates, allowed amounts, etc.).

Files will be updated monthly in accordance with the requirements. Just a reminder, these MRFs are not the member-friendly consumer price transparency tool that will be available in 2023 and 2024.
