ACL Conducts Project Cargo Seminars in Antwerp and Hamburg as Part of An Ongoing Educational Series for Its Customers

Atlantic Container Line has successfully completed a series of specialized lashing seminars held in Antwerp, Belgium, and Hamburg, Germany, October 1 & 3, 2025. The initiative brought customers together for hands-on training and expert instruction in the safe and efficient securing of cargo.

Designed to strengthen operational expertise across the maritime logistics chain, the seminars provided detailed guidance on lashing techniques for rolling, static, and project cargo. Participants included cargo superintendents, stevedores, planners, and logistics professionals from across Europe.

“Our goal is to ensure that every shipment begins its journey with the highest safety standards,” said Manoel Thiess, ACL’s General Manager RORO/Special Projects Europe & North America. “By working directly with our customers, we can address challenges, share best practices, and support safer, more efficient operations on both sides of the Atlantic.”

The Antwerp session focused on fundamental load-securing principles, equipment handling, and live demonstrations utilizing ACL and Grimaldi Group MAFI trailers and lashing components. The Hamburg program expanded on these principles with advanced case studies, updated securing guidelines, and open discussions on emerging cargo-handling technologies.

Both events received strong, positive feedback for their practical, hands-on format. They also provided customers with a direct connection to ACL’s technical experts.
