ACL’s fleet successfully renewed its U.S. Coast Guard QUALSHIP 21 status for a second consecutive cycle.
The Quality Shipping for the 21st Century Program (Qualship 21) certification is valid for three years and reaffirms our strong performance under the U.S. Port State Control program. This achievement reflects ACL’s continued commitment to the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline.

The criteria to achieve Qualship 21 includes:
The vessel must: be registered with QUALSHIP 21 qualified flag administration.
The vessel must: have no substandard vessel detentions in the U.S. within the previous 36 months.
The vessel must: have no marine violations or serious marine casualties and no more than one Notice of Violation (NOV) within the U.S. in the previous 36 months.
The vessel must: have successfully completed a U.S. Port State Control safety examination within the previous 24 months.
The vessel must: not be owned or operated by a company associated with more than one Port State Control (PSC) detention in U.S. waters within the previous 24 months.
